Anlässlich ihrer bevorstehenden Pensionierung wurde die Initiatorin des Sponsorenlaufes, Jugendrotkreuz-Schulreferentin Rosi Scherrer für ihre Verdienste um das Jugendrotkreuz gebührend geehrt. Landesschulinspektor Fritz Mattweber überreichte Rosi Scherrer die Verdienstmedaille in Gold und ein Dekret.
