Ein Programm zu Ehren des Jazz Trompeters aus South Carolina, John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie.
Anstatt Songs von Ihm nachzuspielen, hatte Ornig mit seinem Bassisten aus New York und seinem Schlagzeuger aus Budapest sich es zur Aufgabe gemacht, den "Spirit of Dizzy" zu evozieren. Ornig beherrscht das komponieren, arrangieren, genauso wie das Spielen einer Trompete.
Ein gelungener Konzertabend mit Gehrhard Ornig einer der hoffnungsvollsten Jazzmusiker des Landes, ausgebildet in Graz, New York und Amsterdam.
